John James Audubon Wood Duck DetailOur mission is to share the joy and beauty of the wetlands of the world through the art and artists who celebrate it. The wetlands of the world are cradles of life and bastions against the surges and gusts of storms as they come ashore. Nestlings fledge here and small fry are spawned.

Fisherfolk of the world harvest a bounty that fills our tables the world over. Medicines to heal our sick are discovered in wetlands mysterious depths. Audubon, Thoreau, and Wordsworth have elegized and immortalized the beauty and diversity of these mysterious marshes and woods in their works.

We hope you will enjoy your time here and come back often to see the artists we will feature and study.

Thank you,

David Martin
